ECOCAMPUS and environmental strategy at MAPFRE
The Monte del Pilar Campus is a place for learning where MAPFRE’s environmental management model has been implemented since 2012 through its Integrated Environmental, Energy, Climate Change and Circularity Management System (SIGMAYEc3). The campus currently holds the following certifications:
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management.
- ISO 50001 Energy Management.
- ISO 14064 Carbon Footprint.
In addition, since 2021 we are developing actions to consolidate the campus as an ECOCAMPUS:
- Technical actions, to optimize the consumption of resources on our campus (water, energy, fuel, paperless, means of transportation, etc.).
- Environmental awareness actions, to instill in campus users MAPFRE’s environmental culture and values, as well as the knowledge and care of the protected environment in which we are located.
These actions are integrated into the Corporate Environmental Footprint Plan 2021-2030, through which we aim to reduce and offset our carbon footprint, in order to meet the commitment: MAPFRE as a carbon neutral company by 2030.
